The Lady Lions field hockey team secured a playoff spot this week with another win.

Bella Jagoe led visiting Lackawanna Trail, scoring three goals — all in the first half — in a dominant, rain soaked 8-0 win over the Lady Tigers on Wednesday.

Belle Coleman added to the Lions’ (9-3, 8-2 Division 2) lead with a pair of unassisted goals in the second half. Jordan Spencer had a goal and an assist.

Trail outshot Tunkhannock by a 3-1 margin.

Tunkhannock’s goalies, Iesha Hartman and Ella Larioni made three saves a piece.

The Lady Lions lost an exhibition match, 6-0, on Saturday at Wyoming Area.
