Lackawanna Trail’s Andrew Kazmierczak chips onto the green Thursday at Pine Hills in Taylor.

Thursday at Pine Hills, on the first day of the new season, Adam Jones rallied from three down to earn a win in his match as Lackawanna Trail posted a sweep.

Andrew Kazmierczak and Nathan Wescott swept three points in the first group for the Lions.

A day later on their home course at Rock Creek, Jeffrey Gallagher and Gavin June swept three points in the middle group to lead the Lions.

Kazmierczak shot 38 and earned a win in his match for the Lions.

In the third match of the opening week, the Lions continued to rack up the wins, taking a 8 ½- ½ win over Lakeland on Monday.

At Scott Greens, Kazmierczak and Wescott swept three points in the first group to lead Trail.

The Lions take on Western Wayne on Thursday at Red Maples and host Old Forge on Tuesday.
