Honesdale third baseman Cade LaBracio just misses the tag on Tunkhannock’s Nick Reposa Wednesday.

The Tunkhannock Area High School baseball team was one of the few teams locally to get games in but Wednesday’s exhibition match almost got blown away, literally.

Honesdale came to town and had a hot bat early on despite 25 mile per hour wins.

They played a tight first three innings, before the Tigers blew things open on their own with sophomore Dave Baltrusaitis getting a home run.

A substantial rotation on the pitchers mound gave a few players the opportunity to show their stuff.

On Thursday at Tunkhannock, Matt Goodwin pitched into the seventh inning to pick up the win over Wyoming Area, 2-1. Tyler Faux and Dylan Mislevy each drove in a run to lead the Tigers.

Goodwin struck out five and allowed three hits. Jake Stephens came on to get the final two outs for the save.

Chase Yochem and Matt Wright each doubled for Wyoming Area. Dylan Melberger had a single and scored a run.

On Friday, the Tigers hosted the Berwick Bulldogs. Mislevy had a double in the 7-5 loss. Conner Munley started the game that saw Tunkhannock send four pitchers to the mound.
