Wilkes-Barre Area's Logan Davison (24) keep the ball away from Tunkhannock's Thomas Sheridan (32) during Tuesday afternoon's game.

In its first meeting with the newly formed Wilkes-Barre Area team, Tunkhannock boys soccer couldn’t get on the board on Tuesday.

The Wolfpack boys were only able to put two in the Tunkhannock net, as they more than doubled the Tigers shots, but thanks to a tough defensive effort, it was enough to claim a 2-0 home win.

Ethan Munley kept the Tigers in the game making 14 stops.

The Tigers played at Wyoming Seminary last night after this paper published, and will host Lake-Lehman on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
