UPDATED: DERBY CANCELLED
On Thursday, July 2, the following was released by the event organizers:
It is with great regret that the organizers of the Bill Longstreet memorial fishing derby have decided to postpone indefinitely.
Due to a new spike in COVID-19 cases, they feel that it is best to use caution, and wait until a safer time to host this event. If even one person was to become sick because they participated in this derby, the directors would feel awful.
They hope the community understands that this is a tough decision, and they can't wait to have this event at a later date.
