Pretty safe bet that Matt Grebeck’s first trip to Homestead Golf Course in Carbondale won’t be his last. Grebeck, from Factoryville, used an 8-iron to score a hole-inone on the 175-yard 18th hole.

He was playing with Matt Redetvky and Zack Davis.

Jody Fitzsimmons used his A-wedge to ace the 110-yard second hole at Canoe Club. Witnesses to Fitzsimmons’ fourth career ace were Carl Pazzaglia, Mike Hopkins and Dan Cassaro.

Wednesday, July 1

Week three scores: Gordon and Long over Ardees in both games of a DH, 7-1 and 13-8; Shadyside and Ayres split their games with shadyside taking game 1 (7-6) and Ayres winning game two (15-10). GEMs girls and Bottoms Up got rained out, and will make up the DH during make up week in Southtown.

Men’s League

Tuesday, June 30

Week three scores: MC and the Bartrons and Mile Hill split a double header, with MC and the Bartrons taking game one (16-11) and Bartrons winning game two (15-12); Ardees eked out two close wins over LWIS/Dirt Pigs, 19-18 and 12-11; Moose Lodge and Norm Wood Trucking were rained out.

Standings: 1. MC and the Bartrons (3-1); 2. Mile Hill and Ardees (2-1); 4. Moose, Norm Wood Trucking (1-1); 6. LWIS/Dirt pigs (1-3); 7. Beer 30 (0-2).
