Tunkhannock senior Tyler Faux was named to the Citizen’s Voice boys basketball all-star team.
The Times-Tribune recently published the Lackawanna League coaches all-star picks for Division IV boys and girls basketball.
Elk Lake’s Mercedes Zajaczkowski, a junior, was selected to the first team in the girls league.
Making honorable mention for their respective teams were Elk Lake’s Nate Preston, Hunter Bomboy, Tamara Voda and Krista Jones and Lackawanna Trail’s Richard Helbing, Cali Fauquier, and Rachael Beemer.
D’Amato, Evans named All-Stars
Tunkhannock juniors Gavin D’Amato (145) and David Evans (120) were recently named to the Citizen’s Voice all-star wrestling team for the 2018-19 season.
Both Tigers won gold medals at the district competition, Evans took gold and D’Amato bronze at regionals, and both wrestled at states.
KC soccer ID camp
The Keystone College men’s soccer program will be holding a spring ID clinic, for boys ages 15 and up, on Saturday, Apr. 27 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Turf Field Complex, Keystone College
The cost is $40.
Participants should bring cleats, running shoes, indoor shoes, water bottle, and shin guards.
The clinic will be held immediately following the college’s spring open house event that runs on campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

TASD swim lessons
The Tunkhannock Area School District will conduct its Spring Swim Lessons in two separate sessions.
Both sessions start Monday, Apr. 22 through Friday Apr. 26. The first class is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. and will offer Levels 1-3.
The second session is from 6 to 7 p.m.and will include Tiny Tots, as well as Levels 1, 4, 5, and 6.
The cost for the lessons are $30 for district residents and $35 for non-residents. Enrollment is limited, so please call early.

Safe Boating class
Safe boating classes are offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla at Harveys Lake American Legion, Route 415, Harveys Lake.
This will entitle those who pass to obtain a Pa. Boaters Education Certificate and Card, which entitles them to operate boats and personal watercraft on Pennsylvania rivers and lakes.
Eight hours of instruction will be offered Apr. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 14 and 15 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., June 11 and 12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
You must be at least 12 years old to participate.

The Tunkhannock Area swimming pool hours for the spring have been released.
The pool will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays for open swim, 7-9 p.m., at $2 per hour.
It will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays for water aerobics, 5-6 p.m., at $3 per hour.

The Elk Lake School District Aquatic center in Dimock has planned activities for this spring.
The water fitness program ($2.50/person) will be held on Mondays and Thursdays beginning Mar. 11 from 6-7 p.m. and Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45-4:45 p.m. beginning Mar. 18.
Open swim is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Saturday from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The fee for open swim will be $1 a person.
Adult swim and water fitness will be held Saturday mornings 10:15-11:30 and the cost is $2 per person.
