A number of local runners tackled Sunday’s Steamtown Marathon, a grueling 26.2 mile race that started at Forest City High School.

First to cross the finish line was Suleman Abrar Shifa of the Bronx, N.Y., in a time of 2 hours, 26 minutes, 35 seconds. He had also won in 2016.

The first to cross the finish line for our local readership area was Robert Damiano, 41, of Nicholson at 3 hours, 13 minutes and 35 seconds.
