On Thursday, Trail freshman Megan Gatto is pressured under the basket by Elk Lake.

The Lady Warriors faced three tough foes this week, coming away with a 1-2 record. Their lone win came against Lackawanna Trail in opening night of league play, and after that they lost to the 5-5 Lakeland Cheifs and the hot Sabers, who sit at 6-3 overall and are undefeated within the league.

At Lackawanna Trail on Thursday, Elk Lake opened with a 48-39 Division IV win over hosts Lackawanna Trail.

Mercedes Zajaczkowski scored 20 points to lead Elk Lake, and Maddie Tewksbury had eight points in the effort.

Cali Fauquier led Lackawanna Trail with 13 points, while Rachael Beemer added eight.

One night later at Lakeland, the Lady Chiefs topped the Warriors, 54-28 in a Division III-IV crossover.

Tamara Voda scored seven points for Elk Lake.

The green and white team ended the week with a game at home against Susquehanna on Monday.

The Warriors dropped the game, 49-30.

Susquehanna took the Division IV win while Zajaczkowski scored 14 points for Elk Lake.

The Lady Warriors capped out at 3-6 overall this week, and 1-1 in league play.

They host the Eagles of Mountain View on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. for a junior varsity start.
