The Lady Warriors saw their season delayed as their debut game hosting Holy Cross was postponed twice.

Fortunately, they wouldn’t have to wait long to get on the pitch.

At home on Tuesday, sophomore Megan Johns had two goals and an assist to lead Elk Lake to a Division III win.

The Lady Warriors experienced a player shortage, and played the entire first half with 10 girls on the field.

“This was an exciting start to a promising season,” said head coach Katie Mitchell.

Tamara Voda made 11 saves to earn the shutout.

Elk Lake continued to struggle getting players on the field and as such would not play another game until last night, postponing their contests against Holy Cross and Mid Valley.
