Tunkhannock battled in Friday’s field hockey game on their home field, but came up short at the final buzzer.

A Delaware Valley goal 19 seconds before halftime tied the game, and another with less than three minutes left in the second half won it for the Warriors.


Gabrielle Courtwright scored the winner
with 2:58 on the clock, putting Delaware Valley ahead 3-2.

Erin Weaver and Sophie Burke scored for Tunkhannock.

Burke assisted on Weaver’s goal, while Ashley Griffin provided the helper for Burke’s score.

Tunkhannock net minder Ella Larioni blocked 10 shots that found their way through the defense.

The Lady Tigers saw Northwest last night and face Berwick on the road tonight.
