Football players who helped lead their teams to District 2 titles and into the state playoffs will have one more chance to shine in the 85th Scranton Lions Club Dream Game.
Quarterback Nate Rolka, lineman Jacob Brim and defensive end Zac Cost, who were all all-state selections after leading Lackawanna Trail to the state final, are among five players selected to represent the Lions. Jordan Edwards and Cody Moyle round out the Trail’s selections.
Co-chairman William Dempsey, in cooperation with the coaches of the Lackawanna Football Conference who selected the players, released the rosters for the summer tradition that will be played July 17 at John Henzes/Veterans Memorial Stadium with kickoff at 7 p.m.
This season, the game is being presented by Coordinated Health Scranton Orthopedics. Proceeds are donated to the Lackawanna Blind Association for its Prevention of Blindness and Sight Conservation Programs.
