Elk Lake’s Peyton LaRue, Chloe Sipe, Taegan Mills, Reese Warriner, and Jenna Daye are all smiles after dominating yet another tournament on Wednesday. Mills also captured top individual honors, shooting an ever-par 33.

Elk Lake sophomore Taegan Mills put together one of her finest rounds of the season, turning in an even-par 33 to win the 14th annual Scott Greens Girls Golf Classic.

Mills’ round led the Lady Warriors to the team championship as well, outdistancing Valley View by 15 shots.

Regional tournament qualifier Chloe Sipe shot 42 and Reese Warriner added 45 to complete Elk Lake’s scoring.

Sipe heads to Regionals on Monday Oct. 15 at the Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood.

Abington Heights’ freshman Liz Franchetti was second at 39, with Wallenpaupack’s Alexis Peet, Valley View’s Jade Krause (42) and Sipe rounding out the top five.

Tunkhannock’s team finished with a 153 overall, tied with Scranton Prep. Mariah Tague shot an impressive 43.

Teammates Adriana Gentle (54), Riley Cummings (56) and Haley Cummings (57) all carded respectable scores in the tournament.
