STAFF PHOTOS/COLLEEN MCALEER Zach Grosvenor knocked a double for the Warriors on Saturday.

The Warriors had four games on the schedule to finish up their season, but would only get two of those games in.

The Warriors also had an exhibition game against Sayre removed from the schedule due to lack of ability to reschedule. The game was removed from both calenders, as to not affect the power rankings.

On senior night in Dimock, the Warriors stranded base runners every inning in a 7-1 loss to the Meteors on Tuesday in a game that featured sideways, cold rain though out the contest.

Nate Pettyjohn and Alex Bradish each doubled for Elk Lake.

Pettyjohn was on the bump for the loss, letting up nine hits in his four innings.

At Elk Lake, in a Division III-IV crossover on Saturday, the Warriors couldn’t overcome their own defensive mistakes against Lakeland.

Elk Lake dropped its final home game of the season to the Chiefs, 22-5.

The Warriors used five pitchers in the weekend matinee. Despite the lopsided score, the staff held their own on the mound, scattering ten hits in the five innings of play.

Joe McAleer was 3-for-3 with a double and run scored.

Zach Grosvenor had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs for Elk Lake.

Monday’s contest at Blue Ridge was postponed and Tuesday’s game in Forest City was threatened by more incoming storms.

The Warriors coaching staff, and athletic directors, were working to get the remaining games in before the PIAA official end of the season and the scheduled district senior trip.
