After a tough loss to the Foresters, the Lady Warriors rebounded on the road in Carbondale and Mid Valley.

At Elk Lake on Wednesday, Forest City’s Bella Pleska converted a penalty kick in the 11th minute for the game’s only goal in the opener for the top two projected teams in Division III.

Tamara Voda turned aside 23 shots for Elk Lake in her netminding debut.

The next day, the Warriors fell behind in the first half at Carbondale before scoring three unanswered goals to win the game, 3-2.

Katie Cusatis scored the go-ahead goal in the 76th minute to give Elk Lake the Division III win.

The Lady Warriors continued to move in the right direction, as they beat the winless Spartans.

Cusatis scored a pair of second-half goals, including the winning goal in the 71st minute, to give the Lady Warriors the win over Mid Valley on the road on Monday.

Voda stopped nine of the shots she faced.

Elk Lake will battle the Lady Chiefs at Lakeland on Thursday.
