Senior Charity Kasson and the Lady Warriors last game was Sept. 25, a 1-0 win on senior night over West Scranton.

The Elk Lake girls soccer team had another idle week, with their last competition being played on Sept. 25.

“We’re grateful for, and excited to, have the opportunity to now play some of the schools whose fall sports had unfortunately been held back due to COVID-19,” said Elk Lake head coach Katie Mitchell.

“While waiting for match-ups, we’ve been honing in on crucial areas of weakness noticed early on in the season by the coaching staff,” she added. “These include communication, decision-making, and ball skills. Moving forward over the second half of the season, the team has settled on one priority: shots on goal. Together, the players have set a goal to achieve 40 additional shots on goal before we fold up the uniforms.”

Mitchell confirmed an updated schedule of away games Saturday at Mid Valley and at Lakeland on Monday (Oct. 19).

Elk Lake will wear the home greens against Montrose on Oct. 21 before switching to the road whites at Western Wayne on Oct. 26. The final game will be at home against Dunmore on Oct. 28.
