The Colonial States Athletic Conference has announced its 2019 Men’s Soccer End of the Year Awards.

Keystone College brought home the hardware, with Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, and multiple all-star team nods.

Rookie of the Year honors went to freshman midfielder Willy Nduwayo. This season, Nduwayo played in 15 matches for the Giants, starting the last 12. He has three goals and three assists for a total of nine points. He had a goal and an assist for three points in a 4-1 win over Marywood back on September 14.

This marks the third straight year Keystone has won the Rookie of the Year Award and Nduwayo becomes fourth player from Keystone (Eddy Enowbi, 2014; Angel Perez, 2016 and Carlos Bonilla, 2017) to win the award.

Coach of the Year went to Keystone head coach Joe Schneck. Schneck has now won the award in back-to-back years and is the second coach from Keystone to win the award, joining Keith Moore back in 2011.

In his seventh season, Schneck led the Giants to their third straight winning campaign, as the Giants went 11-4-1 and 6-1 in CSAC play.

The Giants also landed four players on the first team all-star list: Andrew Lupinacci, senior defender; Carlos Bonilla, junior forward; Emmanuel Onwubiko, freshman forward; and Daniel Zuniga, senior midfielder.

Michael Nyarko, senior defender; Erick Gomez, sophomore goalkeeper; and Willy Nduwayo, freshman midfielder were named to the second team.

Senior forward Ibrahim Tounkara earned honorable mention status.

Carmelo Pioquinto, senior defender, was named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Giants finished the regular season 11-4-1 and enjoyed a 3-1 road win at Cairn University in the CSAC Semifinals on Saturday to advance to the conference championship match.

Lupinacci, Zuniga, and Bonilla all netted gaols for the Giants.

With the win, the No. 3 seed Giants will now host No. 4 seed Rosemont College on Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Finals.

This will be the second straight year for the Giants to host the CSAC title match.
