Tunkhannock Area senior wide receiver Nate Lord capped off his final season on the gridiron with five catches for over 100 yards and a touchdown.

In recognition of his achievement, Lord has been named the Wyoming County Press Examiner Athlete of the Week.

Who inspires you to be better? My parents. Every time I go to a practice or workout I try to make them proud.

Favorite school subject: Astronomy

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Somewhere on a beach or near a lake, definitely somewhere by the water.

What is your biggest fear? I am terrified of mice.

When did you start playing football competitively? In eighth grade

Favorite field to compete on and why? Our home field. I love to play in front of our fans. It is a lot better with fans in the stands.

What is your favorite football memory? The game last Friday night. All of our seniors had big plays and it was pretty cool to be a part of it.

What did you want to be when you were younger? An NFL player

What is your dream job now? Still an NFL player, it’s pretty far out there, but still cool.

What is the coolest place you have traveled to? Ocean City, Maryland.

Who are your closest teammates? Shane, Riley (Jones), Jhamal, and Jack (Chilson)

How would you describe Coach Marabell in one word? Determined

How would he describe you? Dedicated

What sports quote or motto do you try to live by? It really isn’t a motto, but since Kobe’s passing, I try to follow the Mamba Mentality in my conditioning.

What skill would you like to master? Singing. I am so jealous of Jack. I love to sing, but I am bad at it.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives? Play a sport.

Random fun fact: My eyes are brown, but I have a spot of blue in my left eye.

Post-graduation plans: To go to college, and hope to play football.
