Little League all-star season is here again and as usual, Wyoming County and the surrounding areas are ready to go. Throughout the region, final touches were being added to schedules and rosters all weekend.

Tunkhannock Baseball Association will roster three boys teams and a girls major softball squad.

The minors (8, 9, and 10 year olds) baseball team will be managed by Tim Mislevy and assisted by John Burke and Cale Newswanger. Games begin for Mislevy’s team at home on June 22 and will they will face the all stars from RTL and Susquehanna County in the East division. The home games for the minors boys will be at Keefer Field.

Susquehanna County Little League will also field a minors team this summer, and Jeremy Henry’s team will play at the lawton Field of Dreams Complex. With Al Felker and Larry Micks assisting, Henry’s boys will take the field in the same division as Tunkhannock and will travel to south to Keefer Field for its first game.

The 9-11 year old team is skippered by Nick Aiello with Tom Walsh and Bob Siedel assisting. Playing at Robinson Field, the boys will face competition from Athens, Southern Tioga, and Tioga/ Laceyville beginning June 29 at home.

But the team to watch in T-town is the 10, 11, and 12 year olds, lead by coach Jason Munley with Bill Parry and Mike Dickinson as assistants. Looking to take the East division against foes from RTL, Susquehanna County, and Towanda, the team will begin its season against RTL on June 21.

Tunkhannock will also sponsor a majors softball team this season, with home games on Strumski Field at the Baumgartner Complex beginning on June 19. As all Tunkhannock and Susquehanna County teams do, they will compete in the East division along side Towanda.

The Susco softball team will host games at the Auburn Fields by the township building. The season begins for them on June 17 against Towanda.
