The Tunkhannock Robotics Booster Club is sponsoring Tunkhannock’s first Snowball Roll.

A Snowball Roll is similar to a Duck Derby. Numbered ping pong balls representing Snowballs will be rolled down a section of Digger Drive in Tunkhannock on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11:30 a.m.

The first three “snowballs” to reach the bottom and roll into the winners shoot will earn cash prizes for ticket holders with corresponding numbers.

“Snowballs” can be purchased from any TRBC member or by contacting Barbara Sick at 570-240-1048.

The “Snowballs” are $5 each or a ‘Bucket of five’ for $20.

“Snowballs” will also be sold at the event from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Roll. Hot chocolate, coffee and doughnuts will be available.

The Roll will take place a half hour prior the start of the Endless Mountain Bobcat’s February Freeze 5K. Spectators are welcome for both events. Parking is available at the Tunkhannock Primary Center (the former Roslund Elementary School).

The Tunkhannock Tigertrons are also collecting canned goods to donate to the Seven Loaves Soup Kitchen. Canned goods may be dropped off at the event.
