Ross Cameron and Lisa Tizzoni of Mercantile 22 will open their store’s doors on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 6:30 p.m. to host the annual meeting of the Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association.

The Tunkhannock Business and Professional Association announces that the annual meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Mercantile 22.

“We are excited that Ross Cameron and Lisa Tizzoni, Mercantile 22 owners, along with Jeramie-Scott Cannella are hosting this event,” relates Nancy Parlo, TBPA director. “We have some great ideas for our 2020 activities and consider this to be a time of rebranding.”

The meeting will be offered free of charge to two representatives of each member businesses and there will be a charge of $10 for each additional person from the business.

Mercantile 22 will be offering a variety of casual food and beverages. The informal atmosphere will provide the opportunity to meet other business members, socialize and get involved in more discussions. The evening agenda includes the election of officers and a presentation and brainstorming for TBPA events, particularly Christmas in Our Hometown.

“The number of new shop owners in town is providing additional energy and momentum as we begin planning 2020 activities,” added Parlo. “We have already begun exploring unique ways to expand activities and create additional interest. Our goal is to host activities that highlight the best of the region to draw people from throughout the area.”

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Invitations to TBPA members have gone out through email. Representatives of area businesses or organizations that did not receive an invitation can call Nancy Parlo at 570-687-1584.

Interested individuals can attend by paying the $10 fee and if they join, they will be reimbursed for the meeting fee. Reservations are required by February 17.
