State Police at Towanda are investigating a report of theft that occurred on Jan. 8 in Tuscarora Township.

Police say that at 8:42 a.m., they were dispatched to a home on Route 367. Eric English, 39, of Laceyville, reported a welder was stolen from his garage. Anyone with information is asked to contact 570-265-2186.

State Police at Gibson responded to a report of trespassing on Jan. 4 in Rush Township.

Police say that between 10 and 10:30 a.m., a 50-year old male from Montrose, reported that a 41-year old male from Montrose, was trespassing on his property on Hibbard Road with his snowmobile.

State Police at Gibson investigated a report of a drug possession on Jan. 3 in Harford Township.

Police say that at 11:48 p.m., they conducted a traffic stop near the I-81 N/Route 547 interchange after stopping to render aid to a motorist struck and stranded by severe winter weather conditions. Mahogany Brantley, 24, of Springfield, Mass., was found to be in possession of narcotics. Criminal charges have been filed through District Court 34-3-03.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 3 in Rush Township.

Police say that at 9 p.m., a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gary Engstrom, 48, of Montrose, was traveling north on Route 367 near LaFrance Road when he lost control and slid across the roadway, impacting a guide rail and going into a ditch on the west side of the roadway.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 3 in Harford Township.

Police say that at 4:52 p.m., a 2007 Toyota Corolla was traveling on I-81 N in the left hand lane when it lost control, spun around and impacted a 2020 Cadillac Escalade with its rear left fender. Both vehicles pulled off at the next exit. No injuries were reported.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 3 in Lenox Township.

Police say that at 2:35 p.m., a 2016 Dodge Journey driven by Danae McCreary, 35, of Martinsburg, W. Va., was traveling on I-81 N. when she lost control, spun around counter-clockwise and impacted a concrete barrier on the east edge of the roadway with the rear left of the vehicle.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 30 in Rush Township.

Police say that at 11:53 p.m., a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Christopher Jayne, 33, of Laceyville, was traveling north on Route 367 when his vehicle hit a deer which caused moderate front end damage. The vehicle was towed from the scene by JD Towing. No injuries were reported. Rush Township Fire assisted on scene.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Dec. 23 in Sliver Lake Township.

Police say that at 8:36 a.m., a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joshua Capwell, 38, of Brackney, was traveling north on Route 167 near Nasser Road, when the vehicle crossed a double yellow line and side swiped the driver side of a 2003 Peterbilt 379 driven by Justin Cobb, 33, of Montrose. Capwell continued to travel south and came to final rest in a ditch along the northbound lane of travel. Capwell’s vehicle was removed from the ditch and was able to be driven away on its own power. Capwell did not have a valid drivers license. No injuries were reported.

State Police at Gibson responded to a report of harassment on Dec. 22 in Auburn Township.

Police say that at 6:20 p.m., they were called to a home on State Road for a domestic dispute. A 24-year old male from Laceyville was engaged in two altercations with his little brother and his sister, a 29-year old from Laceyville. The female was leaving the residence when man threw a snowball at her and hit her in the face. The male was charged with harassment through District Court 34-3-01.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on on Dec. 20 in Lenox Township.

Police say that at 7:10 p.m., a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country was traveling in the left lane of I-81 N near mile marker 210 behind a 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The Chrysler attempted to go around the Hyundai by moving to the right lane and struck the rear passenger side corner. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.

State Police at Gibson responded to a motor vehicle accident on Nov. 17 in Bridgewater Township.

Police say that 3:13 p.m., a 2001 Jeep Cherokee was traveling west on Turnpike Road near Waterford Road. The driver was traveling too fast for conditions and failed to negotiate a left curve causing the vehicle to travel off the roadway. The driver was cited as a result of the crash. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage.
