On Thursday night, Purple Pepper Deli run by folks from Falls posted on Facebook that it will no longer charge a fixed price for food.
Starting Monday, Mar. 23, the deli is only accepting donations. The deli wrote that it cannot “morally justify forcing a fixed price” during such challenging times.
“Everyone deserves a quality lunch to lift their spirits and keep a healthy immune system,” according to the post. “If you are comfortable enough to pay it forward with a little more, great.”
The donation-only business model is going to last for the foreseeable future, according to the post.
