JUSTIN MYERS

A Tunkhannock teen involved in a crime spree last March could face as much as 31 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges in Wyoming County.

Justin David Myers, 19, of Stark Road, appeared before Wyoming County President Judge Russell Shurtleff Friday morning, and could face as much as $70,300 in fines with additional restitution.

According to court records, Myers and three others went on a crime spree in the county March 23 and 24 which included a break-in at the former Shadowbrook bowling lanes, the removal of an ATV from a barn in Mehoopany, and the removal of a Mazda pickup truck from the Oakwood subdivision just outside of Tunkhannock. Both the ATV and pickup were moved to locations at least 15 miles away where they were later recovered by authorities.

Myers also admitted responsibility for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment four months earlier while a protection from abuse order was in place, and at the time pinning her against the wall, making threatening gestures to hurt her as well as strangling her kitten.

Judge Shurtleff said Myers would be sentenced at a later date.
