Alcoholics Anonymous

8 p.m.: Life on Life’s Terms, United Methodist Church, Morgan Highway, Clarks Summit.

8 p.m.: Montrose Group, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Route 29, Montrose.

TUESDAY: 7 a.m.: Tradition 3 Group, First Presbyterian Church, 300 School St., Clarks Summit.

7 p.m.: Montrose Serenity Al-Anon Family Group/Trehab Agency/36 Public Ave, 2nd floor/Enter from Chestnut St. by NBT Bank.

7:30 p.m.: Life is Good Group on the Keystone College campus in the first floor of Sickler Hall.

8 p.m.: Endless Mountain Big Book Group, St. Peter’s Church, 3832 Rt. 6, Tunkhannock.

5 p.m. – Principles not Personalities, Methodist Education Building, Tunkhannock.

8:30 p.m.: Gratitude in Action, Meshoppen United Methodist Church, Church St., Meshoppen.

Autism

Support A group for family members of those with autism. Professionals and those interested are welcome also. Group meets the third Wednesday of the month at the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church. For more information, call Victor Manocchio at 570-905-7770.

Breastfeeding Help

La Leche League of Tunkhannock meets every third Tuesday at 10 a.m., at the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church. For more info, call Vicki at 570-836-3013.

Epilepsy Support

The Epilepsy/Seizure Disorder Support Groups set up through the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania meets Thursdays, at 7 p.m., at the John Heinz Institute, 150 Mundy Street, Wilkes-Barre. For more information, call 1-800-887-7165, ext. 101.

Family Support

A Family Support Group for Children with Special Needs meets the second Wednesday of every month, 5:30-7 p.m.

Babysitting and refreshments provided. Call Mildred Johnson at 570-836-2350 for more information.

Gastric By-pass

A gastric by-pass support group meets on the second Wednesday of every month on the second floor of the Tunkhannock Area School District administration building at 7 p.m.

People who are contemplating gastric by-pass surgery and their family members and people who have had the surgery are welcome. The group’s goal is to help each other in a life-long process of achieving a healthier life style through communication and support. For more info, call 570-836-6958.

Narcotics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous meets every Tuesday evening, 7-8 p.m. downstairs at the Tunkhannock United Methodist Education Building, located off Courthouse Square on the corner of Marion and Warren streets.

Narcotics Anonymous ‘A Keystone to Recovery’ group meets Wednesdays at 7:30-9 p.m. at Tunkhannock United Methodist Church recreation building downstairs. All are welcome to this open meeting of NA.

NA also meets Fridays, 7:30-8:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Education Building on Warren St. in Tunkhannock.

National Assoc. for the Mentally Ill

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Luzerne/Wyoming County Chapter mental health support group meeting the last Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the STAR Drop-In Center, 69 Bridge St., Tunkhannock. Open to people with mental health issues as well as family members and caregivers.

Prostate Cancer

Relatives as Parents

Networking and support group for grandparents and other family members who have taken on the role of parenting a child of a family member. Meets third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Wyoming County Family Resource Center, 41 Philadelphia Ave., Tunkhannock. For more information, call 570-996-2264, or 570-836-2350.

T.O.P.S.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets Monday nights at the Tunkhannock Methodist Manor on West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock. Weigh-in from 5 to 5:45 p.m.; with meeting to follow. from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. For more information, call Connie at 570-833-5830.
