Because of an editing error, a photograph that ran on the front page of our Jan. 6 edition of a pair of eagles had the wrong credit line on it. The photo was taken by Timothy Dougherty who voluntarily shared it with us.

We deeply apologize for the mistake, and have re-run the photograph on page 28 of today’s edition to give Mr. Dougherty his just credit.

The mistake was corrected on our digital edition.

Because of a reporter’s error, a story we ran in our Dec. 30 edition had some wrong information about mayors looking to 2021, the occupation of Meshoppen Mayor Bruce Marshall was wrongly stated. He is a self-employed contractor and does not own a bar or a restaurant. We apologize for the reporter misattributing what he thought he heard and corrected the online version of the story.

We regret any unintended misrepresentation, and in both instances the online edition of was immediately corrected. Corrections or clarifications of editorial material appearing in this newspaper will run in this space.
